JOIN THE GLOBAL HEALTH REVOLUTION
Through frontline medical care, training, research, and policy change, Dignitas develops innovative solutions for HIV/AIDS, TB, malaria and other priority diseases. But we need your spark to bring health care to millions in the developing world. Here’s how you can help:
Become a Volunteer. We’re always looking for volunteers for our fundraising events and campaigns, and to assist with office-related duties. Contribute your talents and skills and meet people who care about the same issues that you do. Join a movement that’s helping to change the face of global health. Find out more by contacting us at info@dignitasinternational.org.
Join Dignitas Youth. Around the world, the powerful voices of youth are demanding action and accountability to solve the global health crisis. The energy, volunteerism, and leadership of young people are vital to the work of Dignitas International. We invite you to join one of our university or high school chapters across the country or start your own. By engaging with other international young leaders, lobbying governments and international organizations, and raising funds and awareness, you can help revolutionize health care in the developing world. To learn more, contact us at info@dignitasinternational.org.
Give a Day To World AIDS. This grassroots movement challenges individuals to recognize World AIDS Day on December 1 by giving one day’s pay to an organization that will use the money well in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa. One hundred percent of the donations raised from this campaign benefit the Stephen Lewis Foundation and Dignitas International. Whether you give individually or join forces with your colleagues, your day’s income will help provide access to life-saving HIV treatment for adults and children living with HIV in Africa. Take the Race For Dignity Challenge. Every summer, hundreds of participants take the Race For Dignity Challenge at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto. Either individually or in teams, participants raise money for our life-saving innovations, research, and frontline medical care. By spinning for an hour and collecting pledges, you can provide life-saving health care to adults and children in Africa. Not bad for an event that is not only a great workout but also a whole lot of fun! Since it’s inception, the Race For Dignity Challenge has generated over $1.4 million in support of innovative health programs in Africa. To register for the 2012 Race For Dignity Challenge at Yonge-Dundas Square, please visit RaceForDignity.com. To learn how you can start a Race For Dignity Challenge in your community, contact us at info@dignitasinternational.org.
